Rihanna Misses Chris Brown — She Loves Him So Much

There are rumors that Rihanna will attend the BET Awards on Sunday, July 1, to reunite with her love Chris Brown, who is performing. But our source also tells us she doesn’t want to distract him from his important performance. Rihanna is in London today, June 26, and she’s really missing Chris. ”Rihanna already misses her little Chris. She can’t just ‘randomly’ bump into him at a club right now. She’s feeling a little Chris – sick,” our source EXCLUSIVELY tells us.

“Personally if you ask me, a little time apart will be good for them after all the beef that went down in NYC. This is what I think they both need, a few days apart. She does talk about him, though, and sent four text messages checking on him,” our source added. Chris is performing at the BET Awards on July 1st and although Rihanna isn’t confirmed to attend, she wants to go to see Chris perform.

On the other hand, “she likes him so much she wants him to focus and put all his energy into this performance and not distract him.” We’ll just have to wait and see if Rihanna shows up!

My Mum Didn't Support My Marriage To Alec Godwin – Kefee

The saying that what an elder sees while sitting on a chair, a child, even if they climb to the tallest mountain, would never see it, aptly sums up Ejirooghene Obareki, the mother of Branama Queen, Kefee Don Momoh’s non-support for her daughter’s first marriage to producer, Alec Godwin. Speaking in the episode of the Supermom Celebrity edition which would be aired this weekend, Kefee recalls that contrary to her expectations, her mum, whom she had enjoyed a robust relationship with from infancy, demurred when she informed her about her choice of husband.

“She was not in support of the marriage from the outset but because she wanted me to be happy, she consented grudgingly,” Kefee says. As time went by, Kefee’s mum’s fears came to pass as the marriage broke down irretrievably. On her return home, and much to her consternation, “My mum welcomed me with open arms and encouraged me to see what happened as a part of life. She also urged me to go back to Lagos and focus on my career so that I could be a bigger and more respected star. If not for her encouragement and support, I can’t say what would have become of my career,” Kefee says. In her recollection of the trials and tribulations of the past, which have combined to make Kefee a strong personality and a musical force, the older Obareki recalls that she went through a lot raising the singer and her other kids.

According to the matriarch, Kefee almost lost her life years back while growing up. As a devoted Christian, the family was to fast every Friday. Then, one day, Kefee slumped and was unconscious for six days. Considering that she had lost a child before, Obareki couldn’t bear the pain of losing another one, and not Kefee. “I would roll on the ground, crying and praying that God should restore my child to good health,” she recalls. Obareki’s story is touching, and she did not mince words telling it all on the Supermom Celebrity show. Paired with Kefee’s mom in this week’s episode is Cecilia Awotoye, the mother of one of Nigeria’s hip hop pioneers, Tony Tetuila, who tells the heart-rending story of how she succeeded in raising her children, especially Tetuila, against all odds. According to her, although things had been tough generally for the family, the worst of her ordeals started when she noticed a lump growing on Tetuila’s chest.

“I cried every time I looked at him. I prayed endlessly to God to spare his life and I didn’t give up hope.” As any caring mother would, she took him to the places she could afford but no remedy came through until she visited the General Hospital in Ojuelegba, Lagos. There, he was operated on. But her ordeal was not over. Months later, just when she was beginning to rejoice at his recovery, she realised the kid who would later become Africa’s music golden son couldn’t walk. “We started visiting hospitals again and every time a doctor said my son would never walk, I prayed and cried to God. I never stopped telling them that my son would walk again! There was one day I was returning to the hospital and I had to trek all the way with him on my back because there was no means of transportation; former Head of State, Mohammed Murtala had just died and there was a bit of unrest in the country then.”

Phillip Phillips’s Tough Week: Six-Hour Surgery and Family Business Burglary

Poor Phillip Phillips has had a really bad week. First, last Wednesday, the Season 11 "American Idol" winner underwent a six-and-a-half-hour operation to remove the enormous kidney stones that had tortured him throughout his "Idol" run. And just a few days later, while he was recuperating from his surgery in California, the Phillips family's famous pawn shop in Albany, Georgia, was burglarized.

According to multiple reports, Albany Sporting Goods & Pawn--which was memorably featured in both Phillip's audition and homecoming "Idol" episodes--was ransacked sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday morning, with thieves running off with roughly $4,000 worth of merchandise (including jewelry, guns, and television sets) and not only the $110 that was in the cash register, but the actual cash register itself.

This appears to be a premeditated job, since TMZ reports that the store's power and phone lines were cut prior to the burglary, and a backhoe hotwired and stolen from a nearby Albany Water Gas & Light job site was used to smash open the store's back door. Twenty-five police squad cars were reportedly dispatched to the crime scene, but no arrests were made. As of this writing, there are no suspects. Albany Sporting Goods & Pawn actually went up for sale through Willcox Realty last month, 10 days before the "American Idol" finale. No word on whether this new damage to the property will affect its asking price. Phillip's father, Don Phillips, had considered selling it for $200,000 before this year's "Idol" season.

Fortunately, no one was at the store at the time of the incident and no one was hurt. The Phillips family is believed to be with Phillip in Los Angeles, helping him with his post-surgery recovery. Speaking of that, in happier P-Squared news, the Idol--who recently set a new sales record for an "Idol" coronation song, when "Home" sold 278,000 digital copies in its first week--is expected to be well in time to make this summer's 45-date Idols Live Tour, which kicks off July 6 in Detroit. Phillip recently tweeted, "Just want to tell everyone thank you for the concerns and prayers, it means a lot to my family and I. I am just resting and healing." Phillip has yet to address his family shop's burglary on Twitter. Here's wishing Phillip good health--and justice for his family!

"I have stopped smoking marijuana" - Tuface Idibia

Efosa 's blog:

He did an exclusive interview with Yes! Weekly Magazine, and he opened up on a lot of issues, one of which was his smoking habit. Below is what he said about it: "I have never tried coc*ine or her*ine but I've done marijuana before. But I never took it to go on stage.

It was just for relaxation purpose. Eventually I knew marijuana wasn't for me, so I stopped. Because it makes me feel like I am in another world. I stopped using it a couple of years ago. It wasn't difficult stopping.

It was just craziness that introduced me to marijuana. You know how youth energy used to push one into things like that. In those days I used to listen to songs like 'Rolling down the street smoking'. All those songs can influence, if you want to be influenced. It is not for me to advise musicians not to write or sing about drugs. If Tuface can stop smoking marijuana, so can you. You! Yes I'm talking to You.

DKB and Zainab Both Disqualified From BBA Show after f*ght.

What seems to be light a argument Monday, June 4 between housemates, DKB and Zainab at the Big Brother Africa Stargame show degenerated into a physical fight.

DKB stormed the kitchen to warn Zainab, who he alleged of peeping at him in the bathroom while about to take his bath. Zainab warned DKB not to point his fingers at her, which provoked him the more. "I am warning you for the last time. I will slap you if you try that (peep at him in the bathroom) again," was DKB's warning to Zainab.

Come slap me now was Zainab's response, who rushed to confront DKB by standing in-front of him. This got DKB angry. He pushed her by the chest and slapped her with his left hand. DKB was later summoned by Biggie into the Diary room. Both housemates have been disqualified from the house. That was the second time both have had confrontations.
