1500 Years Old Bible Church Discovered In Galilie

The remains of an ancient synagogue with a striking mosaic floor have been uncovered in northern Israel, the Israel Antiquities Authority said Monday. The synagogue was uncovered in a dig that ended last week north-west of the Sea of Galilee at the ruins of the town of Huqoq, next to a modern-day kibbutz with the same name. 

The synagogue dates to between the 4th and 6th centuries C.E., according to the Antiquities Authority. At the time, Jewish life in the land of Israel was largely centered in the north. The mosaic includes depictions of the heads of women, a portrayal of the biblical hero Samson and two foxes with burning torches tied to their tails — a detail from the Samson story in the Book of Judges — and a damaged Hebrew inscription urging congregants to perform good deeds.

 The dig was led by Jodi Magness of the University of North Carolina, along with Antiquities Authority archaeologists. The mosaics at the synagogue display “high artistic quality,” Magness said in the Antiquities Authority announcement Monday. “This, together with the monumental size of the stones used to construct the synagogue’s walls, suggest a high level of prosperity in this village, as the building clearly was very costly,” she said. The mosaic has been covered to protect it, and will be displayed again when the 2013 dig season begins next summer, according to the Antiquities Authority.

Grandmother 'cuts off' her eight-month-old baby granddaughter's hands

An eight-month-old baby is recovering in hospital after having both her hands chopped off by her grandmother. The incident took place when the grandmother was caring for the little girl while her parents were at work in the Shandong Province of China. The grandmother's motives are not yet known as she remains in a coma since the incident, after she attempted to k*ll herself. 

A neighbour, who saw the aftermath of the incident and accompanied the mother and child to hospital, said: 'I saw the woman came back home after work in the early afternoon but only 10 minutes later she dashed down holding her baby, who was covered with blood. 'The baby's hands were gone. 'The mother called her husband, asking him to go back home to pick up the chopped hands. 'She said the baby's hands were chopped off by her mother, who also chopped herself, trying to commit suicide.' 

 It is not yet known whether the girl's hands can be saved after doctors carried out a 12 hour operation to attempt to re-attach them. If the operation is successful, it is likely the eight-month-old will need further procedures to restore full function.

Man Robs Bank Then Drives To Police Station To Confess

A suburban Portland man says he was so moved by a documentary exploring the cause of the Great Recession that he decided to rob a bank. But apparently the film didn't make enough of an impression for the 50-year-old Gresham man to keep the loot. 

 The Oregonian reports that Raymond Carl Knudson pleaded guilty Monday to sticking up a Bank of America branch in April, a crime he confessed within minutes of committing. According to court documents, Knudson entered the bank and handed over a robbery note. Then he drove to the Gresham Police Department carrying all $425 of the loot and confessed. 

He told investigators he felt compelled to rob the bank after watching "Inside Job," the Academy Award-winning documentary that explores causes of the 2008 global financial meltdown.

Evil Ghost Of D*ad Man Avenges His D*ath By K*lling 15 Family Members

An avenging spirit of a Mozambican man who was allegedly k*lled in cold blood in 1989 for ritual purposes to enhance a grinding mill business has so far K*LLED 15 family members. This was in an unfolding court case at the Mutare Civil Courts in which two Mutare men from Fairbridge Park low-density suburb are seeking a peace order against Chief Zimunya, Headman Chitiyo and eight family members whom they are accusing of forcing them to consult a traditional healer over the matter.

 The two applicants, Abel and Douglas Mvududu, accused their relatives of forcing them to consult a traditional healer (n'anga/sangoma) over the mysterious d*aths in the family. Relatives allege that sometime in 1989 Abel k*lled his domestic worker in Gombakomba, A Mozambican named Vasco Frashisco for rituals in a bid to make money in his grinding mill business. Victor who is accusing the two aapplicants said: "Our father's brother, Abel, k*lled a man and put his blood on a grinding mill because he wanted to be successful. Hew lied to the family that the Mozambican had left for his country only for us to discover that that he was murdered in cold blood by our uncle. 

 The family has lost over 15 people since 1989 and some are facing numerous problems in life." Victor said after the death of the 15 people, they decided as a family to approach a traditional healer who told them that the avenging spirit of Frashisco needed to be appeased. They were told that to solve their misery they had to part with nine cattle and three goats. They were shown the directions to Frashisco's homestead in Mozambique. "We are accepting our fate as a family but the problem is that the culprit behind the problems, who are now VERY WEALTHY don't want to co-operate and assist. They are LIVING GOOD LIVES while we are suffering. My father is dead because of the avenging spirit of Frashisco.

 Abel and Douglas are the only fathers left in the family but they are refusing to cede to the demands by Frashisco. Abel's children are all abroad doing well at our own expense and he is not even willing to spend a cent and help the family. Instead he had dragged us to court," said another family member identified as Jeremiah. Bhasera, who is also a respondent to the peace order said: "Douglas is not the one who m*rdered the Mozambican. I am surprised why he is taking Abel's side and I don't even know what has entered into my brother's minds.

 They have changed and I am even afraid of approaching them. I just want them to reason with us and solve these misfortunes that have befallen the family." Headman Chitiyo also fumed and said the applicants had belittled the powers of the chief. "Nyaya idzi dzengozi dzinotongwa kumatare amambo kana sabhuku vanhu voripa ngozi yopera mumusha. They are trying to run away from the real story by seeking a peace order. They have to pay nine beasts and 3 goats which are required to appease the spirit of the deceased. Man who lost his legs as a child scales 19,000ft-high Kilimanjaro by crawling on his HANDS for seven days

Mr West was born with sacral agenesis, a genetic disorder that left his lower spine poorly developed and his legs permanently crossed. He had his legs removed below the knees at the age of three and, two-years-later, had them amputated to below his pelvis. Medical experts told the courageous Canadian he would never be a functioning member of society but he has continued to defy doctors his entire life. 

He trained for a year to scale the tallest peak in Africa without legs and set off on June 12 with best friends David Johnson and Alex Meers. The trek to the top took seven days, hiking through Tanzania's jungles, snowfields and deserts - and Mr West was forced to make 80 per cent of the journey on his hands, only hopping in a custom-made wheelchair when the terrain allowed. The trio made it to the final approach on Sunday and rose the following morning for the ascent to Uhuru Peak. They reached the top at 11.15am after a exhausting seven hour hike.

6,000 Nigerians jailed abroad

WITH more than 6,000 Nigerians in foreign jails, we thought President Goodluck Jonathan would have added their matter to charges he gave Nigeria’s 93 new ambassadors. He did not. How these Nigerians became prisoners is as important as the fact that they, in most cases did not receive consular care. In many countries with Nigerian missions, Nigerians are jailed without getting assistance that could have kept them out of jail. What “national interests” then do these missions serve? The President gave a hint. 

“You are posted to your designation to represent the President and not your state or your ethnicity, and project Nigeria as a united and indivisible nation. You must encourage Nigerians abroad to have solid unions,” he said. Ambassadors are representatives of the President. Few will debate the position. However, this point can be stretched to a breaking juncture. Missions should serve Nigerians, who elected the President. What is happening in our foreign service is an aberration. Our missions have been reduced to providing comfortable passage for the President, politicians, and othear VIPs on their trips round the world. 

The same neglect ordinary Nigerians suffer at home is replicated in their relations with their missions. It is to be expected; you cannot neglect your people at home and treat them well abroad. A common complaint from the missions is that Nigerians do not seek their services; they do not even bother to register when they arrive abroad. It is a strong argument that is weakened by the poor services that Nigerians abroad receive when they apply for renewal of their passports. Our missions, with a few exceptions, do not care for Nigerians; they treat them as distractions to their brief.a The standards of concerns for Nigerians fluctuate, depending on the head of the mission. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has no expectation of such care from the missions which operate as they deem fit. Economic diplomacy remains at the core of the nation’s foreign policy, according to the President. He should substitute the welfare of Nigerians for “economic diplomacy” and other fanciful words that mean nothing. More words: “To build and sustain a corps of staff that can excel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must accord priority to recruiting the best and ensuring the regular training of its diplomats.” Nepotism infects the service’s recruitment; excellence is not a consideration. An overhaul of the foreign service is overdue if it is to serve Nigerians. It starts from attitude of the missions to government’s provision of resources for their operations. Our missions do not have the resources to do more than organising state visits and issuing visas — both are even proving too challenging.

OMG- Woman Squeezes Man's Testicles Till He Drops D*ad Over Parking Space

There are worse ways to d*e, but you probably don’t want to think about them, especially if you’re a guy.

 A Chinese man was reportedly k*lled last week when a woman squeezed his testicles until he collapsed during a fight over a parking space.

 An unidentified 41-year-old woman in China’s Haiku City in the Hainan Province rode into town on her scooter to pick her child up from school.

The woman tried to park in front of a local store, but the store owner, the 42-year-old victim, refused to allow it, China News 24 reported.

 The resulting fight escalated, leading the woman to call her husband and brother, who in turn got into a more violent fist fight with the shopkeeper, according to the website. At some point in the fracas, the woman grabbed the man’s testicles and squeezed them until he collapsed.

 He was taken to a hospital for treatment and later died. Parking disputes can get ugly just about anywhere. On March 26, Louisiana resident Shawntay Brown, 19, was arrested for biting a 15-year-old’s breast during a brawl in Monroe. An affidavit in the case included a police officer’s statement that the 15 year old “showed me the bite mark.” A video is said to show Brown running after the younger girl and biting her on a tender spot, the Smoking Gun reported. Brown contends that the other girl bit her first.

Men who watch p*rn 'damage their partner's self-confidence' - and can even break up happy relationships

A study found that when their partners turn to X-rated films for pleasure it had a corrosive effect on a woman’s self confidence.

Women’s s*x lives were also damaged if their partners preferred virtual ways of arousing himself instead of sleeping with them. The study adds to the growing body of evidence that p*rn is damaging to relationships and can even causes people to break up.

A recent study found that one in five men ‘preferred the excitement of watching p*rn to being s*xually intimate with their partner’. Young children in particular can be damaged from an early age because it is so easy to get hold of s*x films on their mobile phones. Destin Stewart, a clinical psychology intern at the University of Florida, looked at the problem after one of her patients explained she was having difficulty with her p*rn-addicted partner. She asked 308 students aged 18 to 29 and asked them to complete online questionnaires about how often their partners viewed p*rn.

 They were also asked about how s*xually satisfied they were, how much self-esteem they had and how they rated the quality of their relationship. All the women were heterosexual. The results showed a strong statistical link between men viewing p*rn and women becoming unhappy. When women thought that their partner was a heavy p*rn user or a p*rn addict it also had a negative impact on their self-esteem and general s*xual satisfaction. Stewart said that the key to solving the issue was to get couples to talk frankly about what they wanted, even though it can be tough. She said: ‘It's just about trying to do some education about what is realistic and unrealistic and trying to get couples to be honest about what their wants and needs and desires are’. Previous studies showed that after viewing p*rn men tend to expect their partners to behave and look like p*rn stars.

In a response from one paper in 1999 study a woman participant told researchers: ‘These men look at these pictures and say, 'Look at her. She's just beautiful. Why can't you be like that?’’ Concerns have long been raised over the effect that p*rn has on young children too. A recent study in the U.S. found that schoolboys who develop an addiction to p*rn exhibit more problems such as poor grades, social isolation and behavioural issues. Seven out of ten teenagers have viewed p*rnography on the Internet with boys at greater risk of it doing damage than girls, according to the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation in California.

The Catholic Church is Dangerous, Outdated, and Should Dissolve

The Catholic Church is hammering so many nails into its own coffin that even an outside observer like me is left shaking his head at the ridiculous behavior of its leadership. The Vatican (generally meaning "the Pope") is angry with nuns for their behavior, and Cardinal Dolan from the New York Archdiocese is embroiled in yet another pedophile priest scandal.

 Let's look at how the two situations prove the Catholic Church is on its last legs. Starting close to home we have Cardinal Dolan's little fiasco. It just came to light he might have been part of a plan to pay off child-molesting priests 20 grand each to leave the priesthood quietly, according to our source. The alleged reason was to hide the pedophiles' actions and avoid lawsuits by paying them hush money. If it were anyone buy clergy committing these acts my guess is that mass arrests would have already been made.

 Another report talks about the Vatican's recent attack on American nuns. The statement from Rome says they have gone rogue and have become radical feminists. The reason? The Pope thinks they should spend less time supporting social justice and more time opposing same-s*x marriage, abortion, and euthanasia. The Vatican is enforcing sanctions against the nuns, taking punitive action to get them back in line.

 The Pope is essentially telling each of these nuns, "Shut up and get back in the kitchen where you belong, woman." Apparently in the mind of the Pope social justice just isn't a big deal. It's possible that Dolan was trying to protect the institution of the Church with his actions. If so he and his Church are broken. I don't care how loyal he is to the Church -- it should be instantly obvious that the well-being of a child r*pe victim is more important than an organization.

Normal people can't stand the idea of letting child rapists off the hook. It's possible the Pope thinks he's making the right decision biblically -- and he might be correct. If so, his scripture is broken. It's ancient mythology that treats women like property. It's making him think social justice is irrelevant. The Catholic Church is out of touch with reality and cares little for social justice and women's rights. Any religion so broken should dissolve and give its adherents a chance to live better lives without it.
